Udupi: The Udupi town was a glow with lamps and flower decorations on the eve of Sode Math Paryaya Ascension festival, when CM reached Udupi from hometown in Sullia district. Night-long programmes on temporary stages set up all over the Town, resounded with entertainment.
Seven chariots were pulled by devotees through Car Street on Tuesday night, to keep all visitors and other devotees engrossed. Colourful fireworks and frightening cracker sounds, filled the sky, providing a beautiful visual treat to all visitors to this temple town.
The Sode Math people felicitated the outgoing Paryaya Shirur Swami Laxmivara Tirtha, with CM present on the occasion CM also brought the fast and counter-fast of two senior Swamis of Puthige and Pejawar Maths to an end to make them join the Durbar scene, but Puthige and pejawar refused.

V.S. Acharya, Muzrai minister, local MLA Raghupathi Bhat and municipal chairman Kiran Kumar Shetty and all other dignitaries, in vitees and citizens of Udupi also tourists an visitors, including the CM, DVS Gowda.
