Udupi : The results of the recent Urban Local Body elections have revealed that the people will teach a lesson for those parties which indulge in misrule, said senior Congress leader B Janardhan Poojari.
Addressing press persons at the Congress office here on March 13, Wednesday, Poojari said the main reason for the victory of the Congress in the ULB elections was the disgruntlement which people had against the BJP rule.
The results are a warning bell to all parties. Now that the Congress has been elected to power, it has to act responsibly and provide good administration, he said.
Poojari also thanked the party leader and workers for the hard works put in by then and ensuring the party’s victory.
On the party’s victory in Mangalore, he said the ram pant corruption and the denial of house construction license to people owning small plots have proved detrimental to the interests of the BJP.
He said the congress would fulfill all the promises made by it to the electorate.
Udupi Block Congress President Pramod Madhwaraj, KPCC Secretary MA Gafur, Ashok Kumar Kodavoor, Bhasker Rao, Sarasu Bangera and dotter leaders were present.
