Mangalore: The logo of the Ullal Beach Utsav to be organized on November 24 and 25 by the Maruti Yuvaka Mandala, Ullal as part of its silver jubilee celebrations, was released by Deputy Commissioner Channappa Gowda at Hotel Maya International in Mangalore on September 15, Saturday. The brochure of the Utsav was released by MLA UT Khader.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, hailed the youth organization for organizing the Beach Utsav and said more such programmes can be organized, provided there is active co-operation from various organizations. The DC also said it was good to note that the Yuvaka Mandala would be donating Rs one crore towards the development of the local Mogaveera School.
Bharath, President of the Silver Jubilee Committee, welcomed the gathering. Sandeep Putran, President of the Maruti Yuvaka Mandala, Harish Putran, Honorary President of the Yuvaka Mandala and others were present. Yatish Baikampady, Advisor, Ullal Beach Utsav Committee, compered the programme.
Beach Utsav programmes: Various programmes like dance, star nite, beach contests, food festival, kite festival and sand art will be organized as part of the Beach Festival which is expected to be attended by over 30,000 people.
The festival will conclude with a breathtaking performance by the best 20 teams which take part in the contest. Over 100 dance troupes are expected to take part in the contests.
There will be a musical programme by the famed Vijayaprakash and team. Several Kannada and Tulu film starts will also participate.
