Mangalore: Although 4 year of BJP rule has passed by in the name of good governance, noting concrete is visible for fulfilling the promises it made to electorate. The govt. has succeeded only in the field of publicity, and not in those fields that mattered, said Ullal MLA U.T. Khader in a press meet on Feb.13.
Khader revealed that only Rs 62 lakhs out of Rs’1 crore in MLA founds had been so far released by the Govt. when unused funds have to be spent in one month, and the money passed by the House for local development has been unavailable in taluks/villages.
Sate faced power problems, despite certain declaration made in 2011, about power sufficiency. No solid steps have been taken by Power minister to solve the power shortages on a long range.
CM’s directive to local authorities to till all potholes and repair roads to the hilt by December 2011 was extended to Jan.2012. The roads remain in damaged condition in several areas, even Ullal the MLA said.
He pleaded for implementing 6th pay commission recommendations for higher pay to govt. servants. Union Govt. funds released have not been spent to on extent of Rs 365 crores. There were 124 drought hit taluks in sate, he explained.
