Mangaluru : Ullal police arrested two persons attempting to transport liquor illegally in a car from Thokkottu to Kerala and seized  225 litres of liquor contained in 26 boxes and the car used for the transpiration.

The arrested persons identified as Rejin (23) and Dheeraj (21) from Bandyodu, Mangalpady.

They accused were transporting liquor illegally in a Maruti 800 car that was not backed by any documents. Ullal police intercepted the car at Kotekar Ajjanakatte and inspected the liquor.

During their interrogation, the duo reportedly confessed that they were illegally transporting liquor from Thokkottu to Kerala.

As per the directions of the city south subdivision assistant police commissioner, a police team of Ullal station conducted the operation.
