Mangaluru : Ullal resident Melwyn who was one among the several Indians stranded in Afghanistan after Talibanis took control over the nation, has safely returned hometown on Wednesday.
He was one among the several Indians airlifted by the Indian Air Force from Kabul.
Melwyn was working in the Electrical Maintenance Division of the NATO Military Base camp in Kabul. His brother who too is stranded in Kabul is anticipating to be airlifted by the Indian Airforce.
Melwyn informed that the Indian Airforce’s C 17 aircraft had airlifted as many as 160 Indians including seven working for his company. The flight landed at the air base at Jamnagar in Gujarat on Tuesday at 5 am. From there Melwyn returned via Bengaluru.
