Mangalore: Frooq Ullal, Ullal Town Manipal Council Standing Committee Chairman has a accused BJP of denying water supply to Ullal citizens, while leveling false charges against his Town Council to misguide the administration, while talking to pressmen on Thursday (September.22) at the local Congress office.
He charged the opposition BJP of playing sectional politics. He cited a drinking water project started 8 years ago for Ullal at a cost of Rs.14.84 crores, never completed so far.
The Government was deaf to several pleas and blind to the many letters sent in recent years under BJP rule, when people waited. MLA U.T.Khader took up the issue in the legislature, when Law Minister Suresh Kumar promised to solve the problem, but nothing happened.
Grants coming from the state were distributed equally to all the local wards, said Farooq. A sum of Rs. 64 crores granted for drainage works is being used up. Roads dug up will be soon repaired, he assured.
