Mangalore :  Padmanabha Bhandari (58), a PWD contractor hailing from Ullal  was killed and another person suffered grievous injuries  when the Maruti Omni in which they were travelling collided head on with a Kerala Road Transport Corporation Bus at Karoda near Uppala in Kasargod on May 18, Friday.

The mishap took place after Bhandari lost control over his vehicle. The injured has been identified as Shivashanker (22). Bhandari, it is learnt, breathed his last while being taken to hospital.
