Udupi : BJP’s estranged leader and former CM of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharati, today lent her support to Pejawar Swamiji (her Guru) in his fight against udupi Power Corporation that had defiled the local atmosphere with fly ash.
Bharati said she left CM’s post in 1994, to hoist a tricolor in Hubli at Idgah Maidan. She had been a Sannyasin since 1992, with Swami Vishwesha Tirtha giving her Deeksha (ordination). She would fight the UPCL case with the same conviction, in Karnataka for the special relationship she had with her Guru.
About her return to BJP, only President Nitin Gadkari could decide on the issue, she stated. She also asked PM Singh and congress president Sonia Gandhi to convene a meeting of all parties, to take a decision on Ayodhya Rama Mandir, on lines similar to construction of holy Somanath Temple in Gujarat in 1950s by the ruling Congress then.
