Mangalore:  Pandeshwar police have seized 30 barrels of unauthorized kerosene stocked in a shed at Hoigebazar, during a raid on June 6, Wednesday. The kerosene was meant to distribute to economically weaker sections.

One Damodar Karkera, the owner of the shed has been interrogated and he is learnt to have told the cops that the kerosene belonged to the Mangalore Trawl Boat Fishermen’s Co-operative Society and that he was given Rs100 as rent for every barrel of kerosene he stored
