Mangaluru: Two Unidentified assailants who arrived on a motorcycle attacked on Urva Police station SI Aithappa seriously on early morning hours at around 03.30 at Ladyhill in Mangaluru city.

SI Aithappa has been admitted in ICU of a private hospital here in the city with severe injuries on his head after duo attacked him with iron rods.

Senior polUnidentified ice officials including police commissioner Chandrashekhar, DCP Dr Sanjeev Patil and others have rushed to the hospital soon after SI admitted to the hospital. Aithappa is reportedly responding the treatment and has narrowly escaped from danger.
