Thokkottu :  Unidentified miscreants set fire to ABC Friends Circle office  located at Thokkottu on Volapete Church Road, early in the morning of Nov 5, Saturday.

According to the sources, 3 people came on a motorbike, poured kerosene on the premises, and put a fire. A night watchman who works for around 200 shops and other buildings in the locality, observed them and raised an alarm. Immediately, the trio fled from the scene.

The watchman immediately gathered people and helped to put off the fire before it could spread to 15 – 20 other shops and offices and 3 houses in the locality.

Reportedly, two weeks ago some people had placed sticky oil waste, usually available at garages, at the door of the ABC Friends Circle office and the people feel that the same people might have set the office on fire today.

A case has been registered at the local police station.
