Manipal : Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Udupi-Manipal on Friday night for a three-day state tour.

The Finance Minister will address the convocation ceremony of T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI). Priot to that the minister will be inaugurating the Sri Vishwa Tirtha Dhama at Kukkikatte.

This is Nirmala Sitharaman’s maiden visit to Udupi-Manipal since she became the finance minister.

Coincidentally, Sitharaman delivered a lecture titled “Does India need good politicians or good political parties” at the TA Pai Memorial Series lecture series in 2013.

The minister will visit and worship at Sri Krishna Math and Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple in the morning. After minister will attend the Inauguration of Sri Vishwa Tirtha Seva Dhama at Kukkikattu at 2.30 pm. At 4 pm minister will particiapate in TAPMI convocation ceremony at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty hall.
