Belthangady: Entire country is with the soldiers’ family who went missing in ill-fated AN-32 flight. PM Narendra Modi has shown his heartfelt condolences to the families of those soldiers, said Union Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
He was speaking to the family members of soldier Ekanath Shetty, who also boarded the AN-32 flight and that flight went missing in Bay of Bengal.
“Even after having modern technologies it hard to believe that the traces of the missing flight are not found yet. The government will give all sorts of help to the soldier’s family. The government have sought the help of American technology to find the flight,” he said.
Later, speaking to media personnel DVS said that it was an unfortunate incident. Many people do not go for defence after retirement. But Ekanath was a brave soldier. It is countries duty to lookafter Ekanath’s family.
“The government will take care of this family in coming days also. The family can contact MP Nalin Kateel and me any time seeking help. Their call will be given first preference,” he added.
MP Naleen Kumar Kateel, former MLAs Yogesh Bhat and Prabhakar Bangera, BJP district president Sanjeev Matandoor and others were present.
