Mangalore : Union Minister for Road, Transport and Highways Oscar Fernandes has said seminars and conferences go a long way in broadening the horizons of the students in the respective fields.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Mid-term ISECON 2013 conference organised by the Father Muller Medical College (FMMC) with the co-operation of the Indian Society of Electrocardiology at the Decennial Hall of the College on September 28, Saturday.
He also spoke about the government plans to convert ESI Hospitals into medical college.
DR AV Shetty, senior cardiologist said ECG was one of the oldest equipment to detect heart disorders.
Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of FMCI presided over the function.
