Mangalore : Union Home Resource Development Minister Pallam Raju visited Mangalore University on January 4, Friday and held talks with the university officials.
The Vice Chancellor on this occasion urged the minister to take steps to appoint more teaching staff and also to allocate more funds in the central budget. The minister also assured to consider the demands, He also said the state government would assist in the appointment of teaching staff.
Pallam Raju was honoured on the occasion on behalf of the University. Prof. K Chinnappa Gowda, Registrar of Mangalore University, Vijaykumar Shetty, former MLA, B Ramanatha Rai, District Congress President, MA Gafur and others were present on the occasion.
