Mangalore : Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Shripad Yesso Naik paid his visit to Sri Venkatramana Temple at Carstreet on October 1, Wednesday morning.

The Minister offered prayers the presiding deity Lord Shree Veera Venkatesha and idol of Goddess Sharada installed at the Acharya Mutt on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, he said although it was his first visit he has heard lot about the magnificent shrine and its celebrations.

The Minister was accompanied by former MLA and former deputy speaker N Yogish Bhat.

Temple Trustees Jayaraj Pai, Padmanabha Pai and Adige Balakrishna Shenoy welcomed the minister.

Later Shripad Yesso Naik visited the Parthagali Shree Gokarna Mutt and Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Khetra. After he participated Sub-regional science centers inauguration in Pilikula.
