Mangaluru: To uphold the values of unity and harmony in Mangaluru, several organizations have joined hands together. As the Mangaluru known as a communally sensitive area, these organizations are trying to bring back the past glory of Mangaluru.
Organosations have planned to organise ‘United for a better Mangaluru’ conference on September 9 at Mangaluru Town Hall.
Addressing the press conference on Tuesday, Saif Syed of Hope Foundation said “the historic event will be witnessed by the representatives from all the religion. Representatives of Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism and Jainism will take part in the conference.”
H further said that Esha Vittaldas Swmiji of kemaru Math, Maulana Abdul Azeez Dharimi of Chokkabettu mosque, Rev Fr O’neill D’Souza from St Joseph institution, Sikh guru Bhai Parveen Singh, Islamic preacher Mohammed Kunhi, Jain scholar M K Nirmal Kumar and Rev Dr Hannibal Cabral of Theological College will be the part of conference. Commissioner Chandra Sekhar will address the gathering during valedictory function.
Several organizations have given their support for this conference, some of them are, Catholic Diocese of Mangaluru, Al Haq Foundation, Bantara/Nadavara Mathr Sangha, DSS (Prof. B Krishnappa), Hidaya Foundation, Karnataka Komu Sauharda Vedike, Karnataka Mission Network and others.
