Bangalore : In a first of its kind scheme in the nation, the Karnataka government plans to have a Universal Health Coverage scheme which will ensure that each and every citizen benefits from a health scheme.
The decision to implement the scheme was taken at a meeting of the State Health Mission recently, informed Health Minister UT Khader. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah whois the Chairman of the Health Mission Authority.
On a pilot basis, the scheme will be implemented in Raichur and Mysore as per the suggestion of expert group of the Union Planning Commission. The implementation will be with aid of the Central Government.
