Belthangady: State Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje has said that  compensation would be provided to farmers  and also every effort would see that no injstuice was done to farmers during the power line drawing works to Nandigrama in Hassan to transmit  power generated by UPCL.

Shobha on Monday visited Neriya and heard the  problems of rubber growers in places where the power line passes through.Deputy Commissioner Channappa Gowda was present among others.

The minister also visited the Mundaje Seva Sahakari Bank. Former MLA K Prabhaker Bangera, Bank Chairman NS Gokhale and others were present.

The minister later visited Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and offered prayers to the Lord.  She also held talks with Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade.
