Mangaluru: The coalition government of the state has not even completed a single major developmental project in the past one year said, Puttur MLA Sanjeeva Matandoor on Monday.
Speaking to the presspersons at district BJP office he said that the government had assured of providing Rs 2 Crore to the LMAs for the developmental works in their respective constituencies, but only Rs 50 Lakh has been provided so far and therefore the MLAs are also not able to undertake any major developmental works in their respected constituencies.
Further speaking about the drinking water problems in the district, Matandoor alleged that the district in-charge minister is not responding to the grievances of the public. No projects have been taken up under the Pashchimavahini project though the district is facing acute shortage of drinking water.
If artificial floods occur during the next monsoon in the district, then the district in-charge minister and deputy commissioner of the district would be held responsible, he said.
Mangaluru North MLA Dr. Y Bharath Shetty and other BJP leaders like Sanjay Prabhu, Ravishankar Mijar among others were present.
