Mangalore : Yesterday (Nov.2), the former DC of DK, Velusami Ponnuraj, transferred to Shimoga and given a farewell in Mangalore, was again shifted from Shimoga, as his transfer order was cancelled by the State. 3 more IAS officers and a KAS officer who faced transfer orders remained where they were, as their transfer orders also were cancelled.
Thus Dr. Vijay Prakash, IAS, MCC commissioner, stays in Mangalore. A.B. Ibrahim, KAS has been transferred to Mysore as CAO of Kaveri Irrigation Corporation. P. Shivashanker, CEO of DK-ZP, is retained in the present post, as his transfer is cancelled. Pankaj Kumar Pandey continues as DC of Shimoga and V. Ponnuraj who is in Shimoga from Mangalore awaits new posting in Shimoga. V.B. Patil also retains his post as secretary of Karnataka Public Service Commission, as his transfer order is cancelled. G. Ramachandra continues to hold the post of Director in Agricultural Market.
The only IAS officer who is at sea now is V. Ponnuraj, as his posting, away from Shimoga now has not been decided upon by the govt. Ponnuraj refused to meet Press and TV Media, as he is out of both Mangalore and Shimoga at present.
