Bangalore: A Commission of Enquiry has been constituted by BJP Government in state with retired Justice R.G. Vaidyanathan to report on the events that took place on Friday last (March 2). The order was issued on March 9.
The terms of enquiry and scope will be part of the order.
It is stated that when MLA Gali. Janardhana Reddy was brought from Andhra (Chanchalguda) prison to Bangalore on March 2 for facing an enquiry on iron ore mining cases in Bellary at the CBI special Court in city civil court complex, some black coat wearing persons stated to be lawyers/advocates fought with media people beating then police personnel were injured and public persons also were attacked with vehicles set on hire, and stones pelted in anger by these rowdies, wearing lawyer’s dresses.
Some lawyers also were beaten up by police due to friction between the two groups. All these incidents form the subjects of enquiry now.
The state Govt. has released funds to compensate those who lost their vehicles in fire or stone throws on Friday last on march 8 to the DC of Bangalore city.
Concerned persons could obtain relief for the losses they incurred a sate notification suggested.
