Bantwal: The Vajpeya Somayaga, started on Nov 26 at the foothills of Narahari Parbat in a Goshala Shed “ Nandagokula” ended after 28 days on Dec 23, without  books.

The religious activities were directed by Brahmarshi K.S. Nityananda, who participated in a Dharam Sabha later, saying that the Yaga would confer a new philosophy to the broken world. The religions (like Islam and Roman Church) would come to the fore.

He added that love and brotherhood would make progress in the world, not terrorism. There is fast and the country will have harmony and contentment in food, but that requires everybody to live upto certain morals and discipline.

The Dharam Sabha was attended by Balekundru Math Swamiji. Sri Narasimhasharm, Dr.M. Ravi, MP Nalin kumar Kateel (president of the religious activities), Yaga Chief Dr.K. Praphakar Bhat, Dr. Yaji Niranjan Bhat, and K.S. Subramanya Vice-president N.S. Padiyar, General Secretary Dr. Sonda Bhaskar Bhat and Jitendra Kottari were present.

At the Yaga Purnahuthi (sacred end of the ritual), BJP leader Padmanabha Kottary, KPCC ex-chief R.V. Deshpande, Ex-MLA Vijaykumar Shetty, ex-MLA Rukmaya Pujari, V.D. Shetty and other dignitaries offered gifts in the final day fire.
