Mangaluru: In a shocking theft case, unidentified thieves stole valuables including gold ornaments, cash and others worth Rs 4 lakh from the residence of Sudheer Shetty located at Sukhananda Nagar near Karnadu Harihara Temple in Mulky on Monday late night.
The incident came into light on Tuesday morning at around 05.30 AM when Sudheer Shetty woke up and found the main door of the residence kept open. The police including Mangaluru crime wing DCP Uma Prashanth, Panambur ACP Rajendra DS, dog squad, finger print experts rushed into the spot soon after the theft case reported.
The stealers used the opened window to take the keys of the main door kept inside of the residence which helped them to open the main door. The police suspect that the culprits might have sprayed chemicals on the members of the family to push them into deep sleep to complete their task smoothly.
