Mangalore : The students of Karavali Institute of Technology (KIT), Neermarga celebrated Onam at the campus on September 6, Tuesday.

The inauguration ceremony by chairman of the College S Ganesh Rao flagged off to the grand celebration with the variety of cultural entertainment like Kerala Utsavam, Bhangda, Garba, Kolkali, Oppana, fashion show, Kerala dance, Vattapat, Pulikali and Nadan kala.

Speaking on the occasion, above 50 percent of the students studying in the institution are Keralites and it is pleasure to host such celebration.

Onam Sadhya and Kerala dishes were served to around 3,000 people including students.

Vinod Kumar of KIT welcomed the gathering. Lavender D’Silva proposed vote of thanks. Sumangala Soman compered the event.
