Mangalore : The TV 9 in association with JACUL, Karnataka Rakshana Vedike, Amrutha Vidyalaya College, Akhila Bharatha Karmika Sangha and Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike staged a campaign for anti orruption and supporting Anna Hazare at Gandhi Park near Town Hall on April 8, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Melville Pinto, president of JACUL said that We don’t know how long it will take to weed out corruption from the country, but the best thing is that owing to the efforts of Anna Hazare we have taken our first step to fight corruption. The social activist is observing a fast unto death for the betterment of our country, so it’s our moral responsibility to support him in his campaign.
Nagarika Hitharakshana Vedike president Hanumath Kamath said that today the government officials became full of corrupt and the people to make even a small work done must give the amount of Rs 50 or Rs 100 at each table. This is the best move by Anna Hazare and it is appreciated and the organization supports him, he said.
Sri Rajashekharananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Mutt said that today the corruption has grown from grass root level. We cannot go in help of Government to stop this corruption, nor expect the ministers to do so, hence this is good initiative to control the corruption to some extent, he said.
