Udupi : Addressing the media person, Lalaji R Mendon a two time BJP MLA from Kaup, revealed that Varun Gandhi, a youth BJP leader and an MP will visit Kaup and address the public on April 26. Ex chief minister Sadananda Gowda, Ananth Kumar and Nalinkumar Kateel MP will be the other dignitaries attending the function.

Speaking  on the developments during his tenure, he listed number of projects completed and under implimentation.  He said, during his tenure Rs. 300 crores has been spent on developmental work in his constituency and around 60% of the project were completed. So many agriculture related project were completed and specially rural roads were given high priority  and most of the roads were concretized. Two degree colleges in Kaup and Hiriyadka were started along with several primary, high school and Univarsity colleges. More over, two ITI Institutes were started in rural area. The Kaup beach has been converted as beach tourism centre  and the sum of   Rs.65 Lakhs were spent on various beach related activities.

He further asserted that during his  tenure Rs. 26 crores has been sanctioned for the development of Hejmady portdredging and other activities. So, over all, he his satisfied  that he has done his best for the constituency and he is confident that people will recognise his achievements.
