Mangalore : Vasanth Bangera Sorake flagged off the Jan Chethna Rath of Mangalore in front of District BJP Office on October 26, Wednesday.
The Rath is done for the publicity by BJP Yuva Morcha under the leadership Kishore Kumar Puttur, DK district president of the BJP Yuva Morcha.
Speaking after inaugurating the event, he said that the yatra will hope to cleanse all the corruption taking place in the politics in state and country.
BJP District president Padmanabha Kottary said that this Rath will visit all the mandala’s of village in the 4 days and create awareness on the corruption and make publicity for Advani’s visit to Mangalore on October 31, Monday.
He said that the yatra will urge the government to bring back the black money from the Swiss Bank to India.
Kishore Kumar Puttur, DK district president of the BJP Yuva Morcha said that the Rath will visit eight taluk in the state and create awareness on corruption in the country and urge for good governance in the state and central government.
The Rath of Mangalore will start from BJP office and move towards Vamanjoor, Pilikula, Bajpe, Kateel and conclude at Mulky today and will start tomorrow from Mulky to other places, he said.
Coastal Development Authority chairman B Nagaraj Shetty offered aarthi to the Rath, while Dr bharath Shetty of Yuva Morcha broke the coconut in front of it giving a traditional inaugural.
District in charge minister Krsihna J Palemar, Deputy Speaker N Yogesh Bhat, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Capt Ganesh Karnik, BJP District former president Monappa Bhandary, Rath convenor Prithvi Raj U B, Rajesh Shetty and others were present.
