Mangalore : Dr M Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation has informed that Veteran Kannada litterateur and poet Dr K S Nissar Ahmed will chair  the ninth national Kannada literary convention ‘Alva’s Nudisiri’ to be held at Moodbidri from November 16 to 18.

Speaking to reporters, he said the conference will be inaugurated by senior writer UR Ananthamurthy. The theme of the convention is ‘Kannada Manassu: Janapara Chaluvaligalu (Kannada mind: Pro-people Movements).

Over 6000 delegates are expected to attend the convention. He said this being the ninth sammelan, the tenth edition of Alva’s Nudisiri  will be celebrated as a World Kannada literary convention in 2013.
