Mangaluru : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrangdal staged a protest near the Clock Tower on February 19, Monday demanding action against a teacher of the St Gerosa School who allegedly made derogatory remarks against Hinduism and prime minister in the classroom.

The protestors also demanded withdrawal of cases filed against MLAs Vedavyas Kamath and Bharath Shetty, VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell and corporators Bharath and Sandeep Garodi for protesting outside the school.

The protestors were later detained by the police.
