Mangalore, Oct 20: After the three day agitation, the members of VHP and Bhajarandgal have withdrawn their protest on Sunday October 19, after Commissioner R Hitendra assured to take action against sub inspector on receiving the investigation report submitted by DCP crime.
VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said that they have withdrawn the protest to temporary halt on assurance but if Commissioner failed to act upon the report as he promised they would continue the agitation.
Speaking on the occasion, commissioner said that it would be prejudice to suspend the sub inspector without considerations of the investigation report. As soon the DCP submits the report to him he will be taking against Umesh Kumar on the basis of the inferences in the report.
He also said that DCP crime would file the report today evening and the action against Umesh will be mostly taken by Monday evening after looking into the report.
In the afternoon MP Nalin Kumar accompanied the protesters and alleged that Mangalore City Commissioner and officers were working like agents of Congress party and urged the protestors not to withdrew the protests until the alleged officer was suspended from his post.
