Mangalore :  VHP and Bajrang Dal organized a massive protest rally against cow slaughter from Jyothi circle to DC Office on November 15, Thursday.

Later speaking at the protest meet held in front of DC Office, Kateel Dinesh Pai, divisional cow protection head, VHP said that this protest was the first step of the activists to fight for the life of holy cow.

He said that the issue of anti-cow slaughter Act can be easily dealt by the DC, police commissioner and SP, but officials have not carried out any satisfactory measures. The case of cow slaughter is taken out just like other usual case, which is not acceptable.

We will not allow the government to do such discrimination to Hindu religion and will work to stop the cow slaughter according to the law.

Bajrang Dal Convenor Sharan Pumpwell said that the members of VHP and Bajrang Dal have  appealed the government many times to implement the anti cow slaughter bill, to avoid the illegal cattle transportation, but nothing has been done.

He also said that the Hindu outfits had also organized a communal harmony meet with the Muslims and urged them not to kill the cow, but after the meeting, they continued it. It is shameful to say that some of the anti patriotic Hindu organizations are supporting the cow slaughter and the love jehad. If they like them so much then let they take them in their house.

The Muslim organisation put large banner stating ‘Why we have this organisation’ and ‘?’ mark, at the centre, since they don’t know why they have it, but I would like to answer that, their organisation is for cow slaughter and love jehad.

He warned the cow slaughters that, if they do not stop this illegal cow slaughter, then the Hindu will have to use the weapons to protect the cow, which is being used to slaughter them.

If the police officials have no time and courage to stop and conduct raid on slaughter house, then let they tell the activities, we will stop them, he said.

M B Puranik, vice president, VHP said that Mahatma Gandhiji had also struggled to stop the cow slaughter and taken oath to work for it, but his effort went waste. The state of sages during vedia ages of eating cow meat is false, it has no proof in any epic, he said. We will fight for the justice, he added.

Speaking on this occasion, Jagadish Shenava, secretary of VHP, welcomed the guests and gathering.

Shree Rajashekarananda Swamiji, Vajradehi Mutt, Gurpur, Vedamurthy Kuntaru Shree Ravish Tantri, M B Puranik and addressed the protestors. Ulipadiguttu Rajesh Nayak, presided over the programme.
