Mangaluru : The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Bajrang Dal and other pro-Hindu outfits staged a protest against the state government for its ‘anti-Hindu’ policies here on Thursday January 1.
Sri Vishweshatirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Math and other swamijis take part in the rally from Sharavu Temple to DC’s office, to the protest meet premises which held at in-front of Dc officce gates.
Addressing the protest, Pejawar Swamiji condemned state government anti-Hindu and communal policies, and he said, they planning take over mutts and temples. It’s the abduction of religious freedom, and trying to take control of Maths and temples.
He said, all religious centres to take under the Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, not only for Hindus, the state government is not agreeing for this. He urged government should withdraw this Bill immediately. If not do so, we will continue our protest.
Further he said reconversion was started in the year 1962, when the conversion is allowed, re-conversion also acceptable. Else, let the government pass an Anti-Conversion Bill.
Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurpur Vajradehi Math , Sri Gurudevananda Swamiji of Shree Kshetra Odiyoor, Sri Esha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemar Saandeepani Saadana Ashram also spoke on the occasion.
Sri Ramananda Swamiji of Kolya Math, Sri Mohandas Swamiji of Manila Shree Mahalakshmi Kshetra, VHP leader M B Puranik and others were present.
