Mangalore : The members of VHP and Bhajrangdal organized a protest in front of DC office on April 29, Tuesday, urging the state government to withdraw the compensation to Kabeer family and case against ANF police Naveen Naik.
Addressing the protestors, VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said that the state government has not hesitated to announce the compensation to cattle trafficker Kabeer’s family, who was gunned down by the ANF police even before the probe was complete in the case.
He also said that the congress leaders are trying to protect the cattle thieves and working to prove them innocent.
The government which has registered a murder case against the ANF cop Naveen Naik has demoralized the police department who were sincere in their work, he said.
Satyajith Suratkal of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Sharan Pumpwell, Bhajrangdal leader, Ex-serviceman Narayan Kamath and others participated in the protest.
