Mangalore :  The VHP and Bhajrangdal organised a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore on August 27, Monday, condemning the recent violence in Assam that has claimed several lives.

Manojram Tulajaram, District President of VHP, who spoke on the occasion, blamed the Bangladeshi infiltrates for the violence in Assam and alleged nearly 2 crore Bangladeshis have entered  India of whom 40 lakh had Indian citizenship.

A memorandum was also submitted to the government through the deputy commissioner and urged that illegal Bangladeshi infiltrates be sent back.

Jagadish Shenava, working president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Gopal Kuttar, secretary, Harish Amtadi, district convenor, Shivanand Mendon  and others were present.
