Mangalore :  The VHP and the Bhajrangdal staged a protest and a rasta roko near the PVS Circle in Mangalore on January 23, Wednesday condemning the recent remarks made  by the Union   Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shindhe  accusing the BJP and the RSS  of promoting Hindu terrorism through their training camps.

The agitators demanded an apology from the union minister and also sought his resignation for his remarks, which they said had hurt Hindu sentiments.

Shivanand Mendon of Bhajrangdal who spoke on the occasion, said the statement of Shindhe was unacceptable for Hindus. Several leaders including Jagadish Shenava, Pradeep Pumpwell, Pramod, Sharan, Puneeth took part in the protest.

Meanwhile, Franklin Monteiro, State BJP Minority Morcha Vice President, who has also condemned Shindhe’s remarks has said the minister had insulted the entire nation by terming the patriotic RSS and Sang Parivar as terrorists.
