Mangalore : TAP Shenoy, Pranth Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has said that a meeting of religious heads from across the nation held during the Kumbh Mela in February , has passed four important resolutions and wants the government to work towards it.
Speaking to reports, he said the meeting has demanded the government to clear all hurdles in the way of the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya, to purify river Ganges, to prevent cattle slaughter and protect cattle and to prevent atrocities on women.
He said the VHP plans a nationwide awareness programmes and intends to organize Rama Yajnas all over the nation and wants every Hindu home to recite Vijay Maha mantra ‘Sri Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram’ everyday starting from ‘Ugadi’ (April 11, 2013) to ‘Akshaya Trithiya’ (May 13).
VHP leaders Sudamshu Patnayak, South India associate secretary, Krishnamurthy, division secretary, Sharan Pumpwell, Bajrang Dal, Mangalore division, and others were present.
