Mangalore: It appears that HJV activist Raghavendra Ajekar of DK district had been arrested in Thumkur district as an activist of RSS and Hindu Jagarana Vedike , and booked under Goondas act by the state police, who are bent upon registering Sharan Pampwel, convener of Bhajarangdal and Subhash Padil of HJV as Goondas under the State Goondas Act without any formidable reason or logic in law, argued Jagadish Shenava a leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad in a protest rally held today (Jan.1, 2014) in front of DC office before a crowd of Hindu agitators.
Shenava demanded the scraping of Goondas act which is only applied against Hindus and not against Muslims now detained by DK police in Mangalore for the crime of kidnap, videographer of passionate scenes and demand of ransom money under thrift by a gang of 8 from 2 students of universities in Deralakatte.
He pointed out that Goondas act has not been applied to Muslim criminals indulging in violent acts, Love Jihad and extortion of money by threads in many incidents that have taken place in Karnataka since the Ahinda Congress Govt. took over from BJP after its 9 year rule in May 2013.
The Goondas Act, Shenava added, did no Justice to Hindus who are being suppressed and oppressed by minority communities who are let off without punishment when the state police target Hindu outfits for imaginary crimes, calling Hindu activists as Goondas.
