Mangalore : Dakshina Kannada district unit president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and advocate Jagadish Senava rubbishes the allegation and complaint charged against him of forcing Christian girl to marry a Hindu boy by threatening her parents.
Shenava said that he had visited the marriage at Arya Samaj as per the request of Bajrang Dal activists who called over the phone saying that Hindu boy and a Christian girl had decided to marry at Arya Samaj as per Hindu tradition. Konaje station police were also present on the occasion.
He also said that the couple Vivita D’Souza and Roshan Shetty were in love with each other since the last three years and had decided to tie the knot at Arya Samaj as per Hindu traditions as they could not convince their respective to agree for their marriage.
He stated that he had recently staged a protest demanding the suspension of Kavoor police station sub-inspector, Umesh Kumar, and the minister who got insulted due to victory of activists are trying to defame the reputation in the anger.
