Kundapur : The so called vigilante group has gone to the extreme by even mistaking a brother and a sister who were having tea in a  canteen for  lovers and then handing them over to the police.

On November 7, Wednesday, a young man and a woman had  been to a canteen near the taluk office here  to have tea. A group belonging to a  pro-Hindu organization  which  suspected that the duo were lovers, dragged them to the station paying no heed to their plea that they were siblings. However, when it was proved during interrogation that they were siblings, the vigilante group had taken to its heels.

The  brother and the sister could do nothing but shed tears for the insult. The youth Manjunath Naik said he had come along with his sister to theTaluk Office from Karadi for some land related work when the two  were questioned by the vigilante group.
