New Delhi: The Congress high command has finally decided to ask Uttarakhand Chief Minister Vijay Bahuguna to step down.
According to sources Bahuguna has already sent his resignation to the party high command.
The sources also reveal that the party has taken the decision after it received not very encouraging feedback on Bahuguna’s performance as the Chief Minister of the hill state.
The party is yet to take the final call on the name of the new Chief Minister but party sources have confirmed that Harish Rawat is the front runner for the CM post. Indira Hriyadesh and Pritam Singh are also reported to be in the race for leading the Congress government in the state.
