Mangaluru : Naresh Shenoy, founder of Yuva Brigade and the prime suspect in RTI activist Vinayaka Baliga’s murder has reportedly applied for anticipatory bail in the Karnataka High Court.
The police are on the lookout for Shenoy as he is said to be the prime suspect in Baliga’s murder. Shenoy was said to be missing since the day Baliga was hacked to death on March 21. Shenoy had applied for bail in a Sessions court here, but was denied bail after the police opposed it.
Police sources have informed that they had evidence against Shenoy’s involvement in the murder and so even a higher court would deny bail; hence it was best that he surrendered.
However, now it is said that Shenoy has already applied for bail in a higher court.
