Mangalore : ‘Yuvavahini’, a registered regional committee to confer ‘Vishu Kumar Award’ on noted journalist, critic, researcher, theatre artiste Dr K M Raghava Nambiar at the Vishu Kumar Award ceremony 2011 to be held at Brahmashri Narayana Guru Hall, Ganadhapadpu, B C Road on August 14, Sunday at 4.30 pm.

Speaking at the press meet held on August 11, Thursday, committee president Dr Sadananda Kundar sad that Dr B Janardhana Bhat, litterateur will preside over the event and Kumble Sundar Rao, president of Karnataka Yakshagana Academy will confer the award on Dr Nambiar. Apart from it the 24th annual convetion of Yuvavahini will also be held on the occasion.

Art Critic Eshwarayya, will deliver the felicitation speech and Naresh Kumar Sasihitlu, upcoming journalist will be awarded with ‘Prabhakar Neermarga Yuvavahini Literature award’ on the occasion.

Katapadi Shankar Poojary, president, Udupi Zilla Panchayath and Yashavanthi S Suvarna, senior litterateur will participate as the chief guest on the occasion.

Committee general secretary Padmanabha Maroli, Muddhu Moodubelle and other were present.
