Mangaluru: Vishwa Hindu Parishath, Bhajarangadala and Auto Rikshaw Drivers and Owners association jointly organised ‘Vanamahotsava’ on Friday at Kadri.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Gopal, Member of Auto Rikshaw Drivers and Owners association said that all the auto drivers should plant saplings at their respective parkings to spread a awareness about conservation of environment.
“The association is carrying out such pro social programmes regularly. Recently we distributed books to the poor students. We will carryout more such programmes,” he said.
Saplings were distributed to the auto drivers on the occasion.
VHP District President Jagadeesh Shenava, Shivanand Mendon, Praveen Kutthar, Janardhana Arkula, Vasanth Achari, Chittharanjan Sootarpete, Sudheer Urvastore, Ravi Suvarna and others were present.
