Udupi : Nittur Dalit Colony families welcomed Shree Vishwesha Theerta Swamiji of Pejwar Math on his visit their colony on Friday to invite upcoming ‘Hindu Samajotsava to be held on March 9.
He told his concern is aimed to emphasize the unity of Hindus. The equality between Hinduism is only possible through the Dalit participation in the mainstream. I have no political intention behind this visit. I have visited this colony two decades ago.
The god is same for all Hindus, there is no difference. All Hindus belongs to the same culture. Hinduism should not discriminate one another. He stressed.
Inter-caste marriages in Hindu religion is harm to the caste system. I will not support such modern systems entering our Hindu culture, he urged.
Hindus have various caste system traditions in side of our religion, but we should follow the Hindu traditions. We should achieve equality only by respecting the Hindu dharma.
The Hindu Samajotsava is set to strengthen the Hindu community and opposing the cast conversions. All Hindu must dedicate their presence on Hindu Samajotsava, he appealed.
The Swamiji visited many houses in the colony and he contributed Rs. 5000 towards the renovation of Shree Babbuswami Temple.
