Bantwal: Vittal police have nabbed two people for transporting cattle illegally and rescued 5 cattle during the possession, on Wednesday at Mani junction.

Shivashankar (27) and Santosh (30) Of Hassan are the arrested people.

The cattle were transporting from Hassan to Farangipete. Four ox and a cow were forcibly stuffed inside a small vehicle.

Acting upon credible information Vittal police took the vehicle into custody and interrogated Shiva and Santosh.

A case has been filed at Vittal police station and accused were produced before the court.

Vittal ASI Koragappa, Police personnel Chidananda Rai, Bhavith Rai and Jayanth took part in the possession.
