Mangalore : Vittal Malekudiya is back in the Mangalore University. He will be attending his second semester journalism classes beginning from January 1. The Mangalore University has permitted him to re-attend second semester classes.
Vittal Malekudiya who was arrested in March last year, was refused permission by the Mangalore University to initially attend his second semester exams. Though it granted permission following a court order, it refused to declare his results on the grounds that he faced attendance shortage.
Now, it has permitted him to re-attend the second semester classes. University Registrar Yedapadittaya who is hopeful that Vittal may not miss classes this year, at the time said the University was seeking legal opinion.
It may be mentioned here that Vittal was granted conditional bail by the High Court in May, along with his father.
