Mangalore: Vokkaligara (Gowda) Seva Sangha of the district has expressed his strong opposition to the decision of the BJP high command to dislodge DV Sadananda Gowda and replace him by Jagadish Shettar.
Speaking to reporters, K Lokayya Gowda, former president of the Sangha has also blamed Yeddyurappa confidante Shobha Karandlaje for the crisis that rocked the BJP in the state eventually leading to the dislodging of Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda. He also accused Shobha of playing backdoor politics in bringing Sadananda Gowda down.
The Sangha said the Vokkaliga community had a strong presence in Belthangady, Sullia nod Puttur and would teach a befitting lesson to Karandlaje in the next election.
He also stated that the BJP high command was answerable to the people as to why Sadananda Gowda was dislodged.
The Udupi unit of the Vokkaligara Sangha too has strongly condemned the BJP decision to dislodge Sadananda Gowda a chief minister with a clean image who provided a corruption free administration to the state.
