Mangalore:  Deputy Commissioner Dr NS Channappa Gowda has informed that revision of votes list in six assembly constituencies of DK district will be held from October 1 to 31. To create awareness among the public, the district administration will organize road shows, street plays, magic shows, competitions in schools etc, the DC said. The final announcement of the list will be made on January 5, 2013.

The revision of voter list in constituencies coming within MCC limits (Mangalore North and Mangalore South) will be held from October 16 to November 15. The draft voter list for the will be released on October 16 and the final list will be announced on January 16, 2013.

Those who are above 18 and whose names have not been included in the voter list can apply by submitting documents verifying their age and residential proof along with passport size photograph. Applications can be submitted to appointed Booth Level officers in each constituency, Tahsildars of respective taluks, Revenue Officer of the Mangalore City Corporation, Assistant Commissioner, and even in the drop boxes set up at Taluk Offices, Office of the Assistant Commissioner, and Mangalore City Corporation. Applications can also be submitted online at ceokarnataka.kar.nic.in.

Applications must be submitted in Form 7 in case of removal of one’s name from the draft voters list due to death of a registered person or migration to another place. Form 8 can be used in case of any correction of names, spelling, etc in already existing ID cards with photograph. In case of change of address from one constituency to another, application can be submitted using Form 8A.
